please note: during the COVID-19 outbreak, due to health risks and concerns, we are restricting all returns and exchanges. from march 15 - may 15, all sales are FINAL.

when you order more than $50 at a time, free shipping is automatically applied at checkout :). after all, "i love paying for shipping", said no one, ever.

all orders under $50 are subject to a flat rate shipping charge of $5.95 in the usa.

modern+chic is dedicated to processing your order as quickly as possible. we do our very best to pack and ship all in-stock products within 3-5 business days.

once your items are shipped, you'll receive an email or text message confirmation, including your tracking number. within this email, you'll receive a link to your order status page, giving you additional details on tracking and delivery milestones.

for shipping in the united states, please expect to receive your items within 4-12 business days upon shipping confirmation.

at checkout, you can opt in to receiving these updates via text or by standard email. please note that we may use your phone number or email to send you additional promotions and offers. you can read more about this on our privacy + terms page.

expedited shipping

if you need your items to arrive sooner, please message us before placing your order to arrange expedited shipping.

once an item has been shipped, we are unable to give you expedited options.

package delivery

when your items have been delivered, you'll receive a notification to confirm. this is an automated message passed on to us and then to you from the courier.

if you received a delivery confirmation, but do not have your items, please don't panic! sometimes the couriers we use may mark your delivery as completed, while the item is still on the truck. 

here's a list of common reasons you may have gotten a delivery confirmation without having your items in hand:

1) the courier may have tried to deliver your package(s), but was unable to leave them in a safe spot. in this case, they will either notify us (or you) with instructions on how to get your package, or most likely will try to deliver it again the following day.

2) your package could have been delivered to a neighbor - please check with them to see if anyone has received your shipment by accident.

3) your package may have been stolen from your porch or mailbox. while we maintain that we aren't responsible for stolen packages, we want to help in any way we can! often times we can reach out to the courier to help us make reparations for stolen or lost packages.

 international shipping

for international shipments, please contact us before ordering. you can email us at mordernandchicboutique@outlook.com or chat with us live via facebook messenger (see footer menu or top menu for a direct link to initiate a chat).

depending on your country, some additional shipping costs may apply to your order. for example, modern+chic does not cover or collect duties, taxes, customs fees or brokerage fees at the time of purchase. therefore, you as the customer are responsible for any additional fees that your country or port of entry may charge upon delivery.

for a better idea of what these charges might be, we recommend contacting your local courier.

estimated delivery times will vary greatly depending on the country, but most orders arrive around 10-14 business days.

for international orders, tracking information can sometimes be buggy. this is because the package is being transferred from one courier company to another. for example, if we ship to canada through usps, at the border or port of entry, canada post would pick up the shipment and deliver it to you. this can cause issues with tracking, so we ask for your patience if there are gaps in normal tracking capabilities.

holidays + backorder

there are certain holidays each year that may impact shipping + delivery times. black friday, cyber monday and the month of december are unusually busy times of year for us and for the couriers we use.

while we wish we could ensure delivery to you by specific deadlines, we are not able to guarantee delivery by any date. this is because of a number of factors outside of our control. 

we recommend ordering as early as possible to ensure timely delivery of your items before your event(s).

if you have ordered an item that is currently on backorder, we'll do our very best to get it to you as quickly as possible. please be understanding that there may be delays in shipment as we wait for your items to finish in the manufacturing process. we'll do our best to communicate with you about the status of your items regularly.
